Welcome to Threshold Crew Hub

Your reference point for general details about our events and what to expect if you are joining us as crew.

Congratulations on joining the team, we’re looking forward to working with you this year!

This is your one-stop-shop for all the information you will need to prepare for working at a Threshold event. It is important that you read through this information prior to an event, so you know what to expect when you arrive at the live event.

We use LiveForce to manage all of our Crew and Volunteers. You will need to sign up in order to apply for a volunteer position.

Signing up takes 10 – 15 minutes, but once you’re online you can volunteer for as many of our events as you would like.

General Crew Information

What is the Crew Hub all about?

The Crew Hub is where you can find general information related to all of our events.

We love our crew to come to the event as prepared as possible so please have a read of all the documents under the relevant event dropdown.

There will also be a crew briefing on site the night before the live event to run through everything and answer any questions.

Crew Guides

I don’t see my event on the Crew Hub?

Each specific event’s information will be uploaded to a Google Drive. If you are working at the event you will be sent a link so you can access the information you need, 4 weeks prior to the event.

I’ve read the documents but I’m still not sure what to do?

If you aren’t sure on anything relating to your role on the event, please ask! You will have received an email with information about these documents, providing you with the contact details of your Event Director so feel free to drop them an email of give us call if you need to ask anything. Please use the email address crew@thresholdsports.co.uk for all your queries.

What do I have to wear on the event?

You will be provided with a Threshold Sports T-shirt for the event (please bring this with you if you already own one), along with a hi-vis vest to wear at all times.

Dependent on the weather, please bring dark coloured clothing, eg; dark hoody, trousers, shorts, leggings. Ripped jeans are not permitted but do ensure you are practical – nothing too smart!

Please also bring appropriate footwear, your own waterproof clothing and ensure you are prepared for every weather eventuality – we are in the UK after all, you never know what the weather might bring!

Will I get breakfast/lunch/dinner on the event?

Yes, once you arrive at one of our events all meals will be included for you, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. As part of the app registration process, you were asked for any dietary requirements so that we can ensure everyone is catered for. Please make sure yours are up to date.

If the event is multiple days, where do I sleep?

This is event dependant, but for the majority of the events you will be camping with the rest of the team (participants will be doing the same!). For these events you will be provided with your own two-man pop up tent and mat, and you will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow with you. For any events where accommodation is provided, this will be organised for you.

How much will I get paid?

Day rates will vary between the role you are assigned on the event. This will be confirmed to you in the contract that you will receive ahead of the event. Our standard day rate starts at £125 and increases from there.

How do I contact people while onsite?

All crew members must have a charged mobile phone on them at all times. There will be phone charging facilities on at basecamp so please ensure you bring your charger and that it is clearly labelled. There will also be generators at the overnight pit stop so you will also be able to recharge your battery there.

Selected crew members will be issued with a radio.

Are expenses covered?

Yes, we cover expenses for travel to/from events and any subsistence, up to £100. Please see our full Expenses Guidelines which you can find under the General Documents section.

When will I get paid?

After the event, we will request that you send us an invoice to include your day rate and any expenses (which must be accompanied by receipts). Payment will then be made within 14 days of receipt of the invoice.

How do I sign up to crew next year?

Events dates are added directly to the LiveForce App and published on our Jobs Boards. Look out for notifications as we add new events for this year and next.
